This weekend was simply delicious, as every lazy weekend should be. Every day seemed to revolve around food. With a leading role for Antwerp's two most innovative and playful female food combos: Alle dagen honger and Otark
Friday night I spent factory-style with Barbara and Jo from ADH, packing cute one-man granola portions and covering jam - turned - tea jars with scraps of textile. Since we were to sell this homemade goodness at Ra, Antwerp's temple of avant-garde fashion, a typical red checked round of fabric just wouldn't do. So we used super stretchy digitally printed designer scraps from Pelican Avenue and fixed it with golden string. And if you take a close look at the upper pictures, you might discern the trace of our newest favourite gadget: the one and only alledagenhonger stamp!
The artisans market itself was rather quiet, but we had a good time together and got the chance to chat with Hadas, one lovely half of the Otark collective and parttime cook at Ra. I enjoyed a great healthy lunch from her menu and topped it off with a couple of macarons from Yummy ^^ macarons, our neighbour at the market. His salted caramel variant was heavenly.
Sunday morning, I finally found time to have an Otark breakfast at the Roscam. You can see the (always beautifully illustrated) menu here. Crème de coeur with rosemary and dried apricot jam was my choice, and I didn't regret it!
